Per Gartner, the market definition for data quality tools has been updated in 2016 to reflect market dynamics driven by emerging adjacent technology developments as well as the growing maturity of the market. The data quality tools market comprises vendors that offer stand-alone software products to address the core functional requirements of the discipline, which are: which include matching, monitoring, data profiling, and parsing and standardization.
